  3. Man, this song (and album) is still so trippy and amazing to me. It has weirdly aged in a way that still seems fresh and relevant.

  5. I totally thought this was U2. Especially the octave doublings near the end.

  6. This came immediately after Rossini’s “Se il mio nome saper voi bramte” from Il barbiere di Saviglia. I especially love the incorporation of the clock that keeps the song moving. Not familiar with this movie, wondering if the clock is a diagetic code that comes into the soundtrack or not.

  7. Love how the nice crunchy square-wave arpeggiator comes in around 4 mins. It fills in the space and subtly shifts timbre and resonance.

  8. Out of the ethereal atmosphere of soaring chords and arythmic, but driving stutterings comes this! It almost doesn’t belong in this album, but refreshes the palate with compelling interplay between Iyer and Mahanthappa.

  9. How can one describe this epic track?

  10. Minimalistic layers with long lyrical melodies broken up with electronic bursts and percussive jolts. Gorgeous. #Apparat
